Blood Donations

It looks like Case's hemoglobin (or red blood cells) are always going to be pretty low during treatment, as he has already received three blood transfusions. So we anticipate future transfusions for the little guy. If you aren't queasy about donating blood and want to do something to help, you can donate blood in his name. For each blood donation in his name, he will receive a "credit" to use for all of his future transfusions, which will ease the financial cost a bit.

If interested, go to Carter BloodCare to find the nearest location or call 1-800-DONATE-4. When you go in please tell them that you are wanting to donate to "Case Beckham, Sponsorship Number 051423."

Case says Thank You!

  3. We will be honored to donate in the behalf of our darling grandson, Case. I might be able to talk Grandpa (queasy) in to doing it too! I'd give him all my blood if I could. We love you all!

  7. Looks like nothing here in Utah to be able to donate. I'll talk to my family in Oklahoma though. That's a bit closer to where you are. If they can donate, I'll make sure they do!

  9. My name is Julie - I work for Carter BloodCare and I have just finished reading the entries to your blog. My heart goes out to Case and his family. My own family was in a very similar place years ago. Our 19 month old daughter was diagnosed with hepatoblastoma. The photos you have posted look almost identical to the ones we took. Case's mom looks so brave. If there is anyway I can encourage her, please let me know. my cell ils (817) 269-3218. My daughter is now 19 and in her freshman year of college. These kids are incredibly tough! God bless you all.
